A Celebration of Christmas
This will be held on Sunday 4th December in Clipston Church at 5.30pm. The format for this event will be similar to what many people enjoyed last year. It will led by the choir, with solos, anthem’s, audience participation in well known carols. Non biblical readings, Hand Bells and the Folk Group.
The Celebration will follow the lighting of the Christmas Tree lights on the Green. A free Glass of Bubbly and mince pies will be available and soft drinks for children after the Celebration.
No tickets are required, all are welcome. Donations can be made with all the money going to The Children's Society a Charity working to support vulnerable children.
Most Christingle services support this charity and as Clipston does not have a Christingle service we would like any donations that are made to go to the Children's Charity .
'Lest We Forget' - Clipston Fallen 1914-1918
'Lest We Forget' - Clipston Fallen 1914-1918
Every year at the annual armistice service, the names of those
from Clipston who lost their lives in the Great War are read out.
We are now able to put faces to most of those names thanks to
the research of Dora Tebbutt who, in the late 1970’s and early
1980’s, painstakingly contacted the families of the deceased and
borrowed the pictures reproduced here and also recorded the
histories and family links shown in the short presentation.
