Friends of Haddon Fields

Haddon Fields now official Woodland Trust Site

Haddon Fields - 'Big Field'

Haddon Fields (the area of land on the right-hand side of Kelmarsh Road as you leave the village) is now an official Woodland Trust site! Signage will be installed in the coming weeks at access points, and villagers are encouraged to walk here and make use of the area. With kissing gates being installed and lots of plans for more tree-planting and the installa-tion of bench seats, this lovely spot will really start to become a haven for local wildlife and a fabulous area through which to stroll. Future plans for the area include the conversion of the concrete-pad bridge to a ford, the construction of a new footbridge over the stream and replacement of the access gate to Little Hill.

If you haven’t yet explored these two fields on the edge of Clipston, it is well worth a visit to see the hard work that has already been put in, to ensure a beautiful woodland walk for everyone, old and young, to enjoy.

‘Friends of Haddon Fields’ has now been formed to actively engage the community with the Woodland Trust and in the local management of Haddon Fields .
