2026 Haddon Fields - Fence around Pond Day & Wild Flower Paste
Sunday 29th March 2026 (and the clocks have just gone forward for Summer Time!
A chilly but dry day for fun and action around the pond at the field centre.
Lots of parents and children came along and had a lot of fun helping with constructing the dead hedge around the pond to act as a safety feature.
The children got busy making up the wild flower compost, flour, seed and water mix to make a 'syrupy' paste, lots of fun getting hands in the mixture.
After mixing up the paste it was then applied with lots of messy hands onto the hessian cloth on the pond banks.
Hope in a couple of months the wild flowers will be sprouting around the pond.
